First of all, I would like to introduce temples and the grand palace in Bangkok.
その中でもまずは市内の寺院、宮殿について紹介したいと思います。
Wat Pho
aka the Temple of the Reclining Buddha.
ワットポー
涅槃仏で有名なお寺です。
Once you enter the temple, you will see beautiful architectures.
They are graves of Kings. The outside of the graves are decorated with beautiful ceramics.
The art is colorful and matches well with the clear sky in Bangkok.
お寺に入ると、まず、美しい建物に目を奪われます。
王様が眠っているお寺で、まわりは陶器で装飾されています。
そのカラフルな芸術がバンコクの青い空に映えます。
Wat Pho is also famous for Thai massage.
It is said that it is one of the oldest school of Thai massage.
Now, you can both learn and have a massage there.

タイマッサージの学校として、もっとも古いといわれています。
今もマッサージを習うことも、受けることもできます。

Then, here's the reclining Buddha!
I think many people think of this Buddha when it comes to Thailand.
It did not disappoint my expectations, and it was very beautiful.
The smile of the Buddha was very warm.
Also it was interesting that the eyes of the Buddha were open while most of the Buddha in Japan close their eyes.
そして、これが涅槃仏！
タイ、といえばこの涅槃仏を思い浮かべる方も多いはず。
こちら、期待を裏切らない美しさでした。
ブッダの微笑みがとても穏やかで美しい。
目を開けているところも興味深いです。日本の大仏はほとんど目を閉じていますよね？
The legs of the Buddha are very long!
足がとても長い！
The length of the Buddha's toes are all the same, and it is one of its Buddha's characteristics.
足の指の長さが全て同じ！これは、このブッダの大きな特徴の一つなんです。
The back of the Buddha's feet is interesting as well.
足の裏も精巧な細工が。
Inside the room of the reclining Buddha, detailed drawings are written all over the walls.
It seems like a story tale, and people and Buddha are drawn so lively!
涅槃仏がいる部屋の壁は、細かい絵が描かれています。
ストーリーになっているみたいで、人々やブッダがとても生き生きと描かれています。
This art is interesting. You can kinda guess what is going on...??

Last but not least, you really have to be careful with people around the temples.
They try to cheat you by many ways!

様々な手口を使って騙してきます。
1. A lady came up to us and if we were Thai. We said we were Japanese. She kept telling me we were beautiful, and our skins were so smooth and nice. She introduced herself as an English female teacher from Phuket. She said she just arrived at Bangkok, and she is about to look around the temples. She asked us to go around with her by taxi. . .
寺院へ向かう途中のフワランポーン駅で、タクシーを探している途中で出会った女性。
タイ人？と声をかけてきました。明らかに、私たち、タイ人じゃないでしょう・・・。
日本人だとこたえると、彼女はプーケットで英語の教師をしていて、今回は観光でバンコクに来たとのこと。タクシーで寺院を一緒にまわらないか、と誘われました。
2. You can pretty much think that men around the temples are all cheaters if they are not wearing uniforms.
We have encountered three cheaters. They tried to cheat us by saying that the grand palace is not open/ will be open later/ closed already because it was Sunday and the monks were praying, and told that they would take other beautiful temples instead. They Also, they said that in the end, they would take us to a floating market.
寺院のまわりにいる制服を着ていない男性は、すべて詐欺師と思っても間違いないと思います。
今回、3人の詐欺師が話しかけてきました。彼らはみな、今日は日曜日だから、お坊さんが修行しているから、宮殿は今日開いていない/これから開く/もう閉じてしまった、と言って、変わりに別のお寺につれていってあげるよ～と声をかけてきました。
そして、最後は水上マーケットにつれていってあげるから、と。
これ、確実に怪しい！水上マーケットもセットだと、最後に高額請求されるパターンではないでしょうか。
Also, all of the drivers try to cheat by telling high expense, so please be really careful!
また、ドライバーはみんな、ふっかけてくるので、絶対そのままの値段で乗らないべき！
